Mr. Schaus was a partner of Stornoway Portfolio Management between January 1st, 2011 and December 31st, 2015 where he played a significant role in the investment activities and operations of the Fund. Mr. Schaus has been an investor in the Fund since February 2011 and joined the Advisory Committee effective February 1st, 2017.

Mr. Schaus is a seasoned financial professional, with over 20 years of experience analyzing, advising, and investing in North American corporations across many industries, with a focus on companies in distress or engaged in a formal restructuring process. Mr. Schaus experience includes working on the proprietary trading desk at Scotia Capital where he focused on investing in the debt and equity securities of distressed companies and in other special situations. Prior to joing Scotia Capital, Mr. Schaus was a senior restructuring professional in the Restructuring Practice at E&Y, considered the leading restructuring practice in Canada, where he was involved in number of large and complex CCAA and Chapter 11 restructurings.

Mr. Schaus holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Accountant, CPA and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
